Name : Mark Rothko
Mini Biography : Although Mark Rothko was born in Russia in 1903, he
lived and worked in USA. Rothko soon became an Abstract Expressionist and around
1940s he finally established his own, unique style of rectangular forms defined
by an irregular edge painted on a one-color field. His works are often viewed as
quasi-religious and spiritual, though in the pictures there are no actual
symbols of faith. |
