Mini Biography : The master of painting the movement. Born in 1837, Edgar
Degas received formal education at Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In the
beginning Degas exhibited his works at the official salon in Paris, but he soon
joined the Impressionists and showed his artwork at their exhibitions. When he
died in 1917, he left about 2000 paintings and 150 sculptures. |
