Mini Biography :
Born in 1860 in Invancice (now the Czech Republic), Mucha
studied arts in Munich and at Academie Julian in Paris. In 1895 Mucha created a
poster for Sarah Bernhardt in Gismonda. The poster, which appeared on 1
Jan 1895, changed Mucha into a celebrity and one of the fathers of Art
Nouveau. Died after a Gestapo questioning session in 1939. |
